Concordia Lutheran Church has a rich music
history, with many talented musicians serving as volunteers and as paid
staff. The active musical groups at the church currently include the
Concordia Choir, Anacrusis (a hand bell choir), and the Sunday School Choir.
The church has also hosted concerts for area musical groups, such as the UW-Superior
choirs, The Rehearsals for the Concordia Choir are the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of the month, at 9:00 a.m.; the choir sings at the 10:30 service on the first and third Sundays of the month. Rehearsals for
Anacrusis are Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m., and the 2nd Sunday of the month
at 9:00 a.m. Performances during the 10:30 worship service on the second
Sunday of the month.
Meet our Music Director Sebastian
Tackling is in his third year as director of bands at Denfeld High School in
Duluth. A 2002 graduate of St. Olaf College, he previously taught in the St.
Cloud Public Schools at Apollo High School. While in St. Cloud, Tackling was
director of contemporary music at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, director of Jazz
dot Combo, bassoon instructor at St. Cloud State University and principal
bassoonist in the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra.
